How often do they update this great game?

It's not announced anywhere (if the devs are reading this: hint, hint!). Some significant changes may be announced - after they happen - on the bullettin board in the park, but that only happens once in a few months. Smaller updates happen every week or so, I haven't really tried to find a pattern to it.
