What's the use of Fame

With one of the latest add-on, you can have your actresses become starlet, star, etc. and in their appartment, you can increase their fame. What does it do?

It increases their profits, as in earning and experience gain, for a while. For example, if you send her to the tent to take part in a movie, she'll gain more money and experience from that.
