how do you buy the server? I've tried at the booble building, hit register after typing in a name but I get nothing.

Click on the booble building on the upper right coner of the pop up you will see a folder called server. Click on it and it will bring up a list of servers you can buy. You need to unlock the requirement for each server before you can buy it though.

Better servers are unlocked by doing the film courses at the academy. And of course you need money to buy and enhance (live cam rooms) them.
