Why the game added mosaic to some scenes?

It's an anti-bot (or script) system. It's needed because in the past some players used browser extensions for doing certain parts of the game 24/7 and gain some advantages. Currently it is used in playing soccer, cockfighting and training the outhouse stats.

i havent played the sims since sim city (the first one) so no, but ye i thought that the safe mode blurs stuff.

click safe mode on/off, bottom left next to the (now) banana, i guess
