Different Tasks provide different results.
Generally speaking, the following is true.
1. If you just did something else to get pendants, and you click into a job too fast, you will be told that you injured yourself, and get 0 pendants, but still lose the cock size.
2. Randomization of bonuses. Every X number of turns you will get a 10x to 100x bonus on a pendant activity. There is no set pattern, it just happens approx once every 6-20 times you do something (work, cougar, cock fight, etc)
3. The goal of Pendants is to get you to uplevel faster, ergo, if you get a lot of pendants, you will probably go up 10-15 levels in the process of chasing something like the Wet Dream Palace. Since you were not building yourself up evenly, you will suddenly find yourself loosing a lot of cockfights and other types of challenges.
Working - Only applies to the Motel (not the Restaurant/Hotel/SPA)
1. Point values change based on how much cock you use for a job, but generally speaking you are going to get roughly 0.25 pts for every mm of cock used, with it decreasing to roughly 0.225 pts for jobs where you use more (this is really screwed up logic, it should be the other way around!) Anyways, if you want to work, the best strategy is to do several jobs using less cock/job. As a general rule, working is a pretty crappy way to get pendants because you earn very little money, and the points values are low, and it takes a long time to recharge.
Cockfights
1. Pretty consistent that you get 40 pendants for a cockfight, but you also get a ton of mojo and decent cash, plus the added bonus that a cockfight only costs you energy, unless you lose. If you want to continue to be viable in cockfights, every time you win you should go directly to the Outhouse. If you lose a cockfight, you are out of commission for 30 minutes of "shame".
2. You are in a pool for cockfights, against somewhere around 50 players that are all within about 7-9 levels of each other, that changes at the end of each challenge. If you level up quickly without going to the outhouse, you will quickly find yourself going against players that will destroy you. Note, you do not even have to ask to participate in a cockfight to get in one ... if someone else in your pool challenges you, you automatically play, and can automatically get shame. This basically puts you out of commission for 30 min without you even doing anything. Another really good reason not to level up too fast.
Cougars
1. Cougs probably give you the best chance to play at a consistent pace. Each cougar takes a little energy, and a little cock, but does not delete either completely (usually). and give you some money and pendants (usually in the 10-30 range, with more coming from using more cock and energy with a single cougar). You find your cougars in the Disco, Cruzing, and Hotel. You add to the size of your cock on the Street, Cruzing and Studio. Notice Cruzing appears in 2 places ... hint hint.

These are good to do in the background, but they will also significantly impact your leveling up. That said, I got a lot of 100x uplevel pendants from movies.
