This is not the whole truth.

Additionally you can earn a platinum cup with promoting your actress to celebrity status (level 100 and corresponding education needed;-)

I also heard you could earn one from soccer league... But I don't know how.

In the beginning there had been a chance for a soccer platinum cup, but today i haven't seen players getting such cups.
But i have to admit it is hard to see all leading soccer players.
